I purchased a salt water hot tub in June of 2015. We received it in the beginning of July and made arrangements to pick it up at the Rec Direct distributor in Sayreville NJ.

From the first day the tub did not turn on. We called LPI and were told we needed a new mother board???? We said Ok, when are you coming to install it? Oh no we were told, You have to do that your self.

So we had the same electrician come out to tackle this mother board. Now we were charged a second $275 for the second house call. No refund from LPI. We had countless issues with this tub.

We called tech support all the time. Jan. 3rd 2016 the mother board and the heater went. Again we asked for service to come fix it or replace it.

They said no we will send you the parts. We said no thank you, please issue us a refund and pick up your tub. 3 charge backs later from American express and nothing but lies from LPI, we have now filed a law suit in Monmouth County Civil Court against there fraudulent company practices. DO NOT BUY FROM LPI or Rec Direct.

It is a fly by night out fit that has no customer service. I cant wait for my day in court.

Reason of review: Damaged or defective.

Monetary Loss: $4700.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Rec Direct Cons: Horrific.

Good luck. If it's really fly by night as you claim they would not have responded to your emails and they won't show up to court
